better

I try to learn English by watching old movies, and “The Equalizer” is one of my favorites. I watch it whenever I feel troubled or stuck in life. The film is about a retired, undefeated agent who doesn’t save the world, but instead helps ordinary people with their problems.

The movie’s title is interesting. To achieve justice, do we really need a superhero figure to act as ‘the equalizer’? Sometimes, we know the right path and that the wrong one only leads to bad outcomes. Yet, we can’t help but desire a superman or a godfather-like figure to dispense justice for us.

It would be nice if the world were that simple. But in the end, we have to be our own heroes.

origin

I try to learn English through watching the old movies. This is my favorite movie. I watched it once I got into trouble or got stuck in the life. An old retired undefeated agent who does not save the world but helping people from the troubles.

The name of movie is interesting. To gain equalization, do we need justice program of some superman who is the equalizer? Sometimes, we know the right way and results, and wrong way can only lead to wrong results. But we can’t help the desire of superman or godfather to operate justice.

It is better that world can be that easy. But in the end, we need to be the hero ourselves.

Lines

“The old man met his greatest adversary just we thought that part of his life is over. He saw himself in the fish. Came to respect it the more it fought.”

“Why didn’t he just let the fish go?”

“ The old man is gotta to be the old man, and the fish gotta be the fish. Gotta be who you are in this world, right? No matter what”

“Hey, don’t doubt yourself, son. Doubt your skills.”

“I think you can be anything you wanner be.”

“Maybe in your world, Robert. Does’t really happen that way in mine.”

“Change your world.”

analysis

I try to learn English through watching the old movies.

    • 问题: “the old movies” 特指某些电影,而这里是泛指,用 old movies 更合适。by watching 是比 through watching 更常见的表达。
I try to learn English by watching old movies.
This is my favorite movie.

    • 修改后: 将其融入第一句,成为 ...and "The Equalizer" is one of my favorites.
I watched it once I got into trouble or got stuck in the life.

in the life 应为 in life
I watch it whenever I feel troubled or stuck in life.
An old retired undefeated agent who does not save the world but helping people from the troubles.

helping 应与 does not save 形式并列,使用 helpsfrom the troubles 的表达可以优化为 with their problems
The film is about a retired, undefeated agent who doesn't save the world, but instead helps ordinary people with their problems.
The name of movie is interesting.

The movie's titleThe title of the movie 地道。
The movie's title is interesting.
To gain equalization, do we need justice program of some superman who is the equalizer?

To achieve justice, do we really need a superhero figure to act as 'the equalizer'?
Sometimes, we know the right way and results, and wrong way can only lead to wrong results.

Sometimes, we know the right path and that the wrong one only leads to bad outcomes.
But we can’t help the desire of superman or godfather to operate justice.

Yet, we can't help but desire a superman or a godfather-like figure to dispense justice for us.
It is better that world can be that easy.

It would be nice if...
It would be nice if the world were that simple.
But in the end, we need to be the hero ourselves.

But in the end, we have to be our own heroes.
